VoNat is Official Partner of Cameroon’s Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife!

Voice of Nature (VoNat) is excited to announce the approval of a strategic partnership with Cameroon’s Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife (MINFOF). This milestone reflects our shared mission to conserve Cameroon’s rich biodiversity, restore degraded ecosystems, and promote sustainable forest management. Through this partnership, VoNat and MINFOF will work hand in hand to strengthen community engagement in conservation, conserve endangered species, and foster environmental education and awareness across the country.

“We are delighted by this approval. It reaffirms our commitment to support government efforts in conserving forests, protecting biodiversity, and empowering communities. We are honored to be officially recognized as a partner of the Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife,” said Ndimuh Bertrand Shancho, Executive Director of VoNat.

“This partnership strengthens our ability to scale community-led conservation and restoration, while supporting national priorities in biodiversity protection and climate resilience. Together, we can build a future where people and nature thrive side by side,” he added.

This achievement reflects the trust and support of our partners, donors, volunteers, staff, interns, and community members,” he said.

The announcement has been warmly received by the conservation community. The Executive Director of National Geographic Society for Africa commented, “Your work ethic is truly admirable! Congratulations again Ndimuh, onwards and upwards for VoNat!” Similarly, AWAT Bertrand, Executive Director of Green Globe Organization, remarked, “Nice one VoNat, this is a great step in the right direction.”
